MAX9814 Microphone Amplifier Module consists of a digital microphone (20-20 kHz) and also a special amplifier on the MAX9814 chip from Maxim. The microcircuit amplifies sound far better than other amplifiers because of the integrated automated gain control (AGC), which suppresses "loud" noises and also amplifies "soft" audios. The module is perfect for tasks where audio levels transform often and also you do not need to continuously change the gain.
As you can see, the MAX9814 amplifier module has an added GAIN input, with which you can change the "Optimum gain", if you do not connect it, the maximum gain will certainly be 60 dB. If you attach the output to GND, the gain will certainly be 50 dB as well as the minimum gain can be gotten by linking this result to power supply 40 dB. Additionally, you can readjust the reaction time recovery time proportion, for this you need to link the AR pin to VDD we obtain 1: 2000 ms, if we link to GND we obtain 1: 500 ms as well as if we leave the default we get 1: 4000 ms.
Pin assignment:
► AR - adjustment of response time / recovery time
► Gain - adjustment of "Maximum gain"
► Out - output of a sound signal.
► Vdd and GND - module power supply
